Denver CSI is teaming up with Colorado's Building Enclosure Council for September's meeting focusing on the lastest news and info on NFPA 285 "Standard Fire Test Method for Evaluationg of Fire Propagation Characteristics of Exterior Non-Load-Bearing Wall Assemblies Containing Combustible Components"

This AIA accredited presentation will cover recent catastrophic building fires around the world and how NFPA 285 alongside good design can prevent such tragedies.  We’ll review the history of NFPA 285, testing methods, and demand and code adoption as well as methods and resources for designing a compliant wall assembly.  We’ll also discuss the future of NFPA 285 and how changes in building code will affect requirements, and we will cover these topics:
